As a voice for vocational education, Matthew Mann is always doing his best to spread the word about the importance of enrolling in a different degree program than the traditional four-year college. It’s a fact that students have been told the key to a bright future is to earn a bachelor’s degree with a four-year university instead of attending a vocational school. Now, there’s a worker shortage in some vocational fields such as trucking, nursing, dentistry and more. Although these fields have the potential for great earnings, students have been deterred from them for years because they were told it was a “blue-collar” career.
As the Director of Education at North American Trade Schools in Baltimore, Matthew Mann hopes to inspire individuals to pursue a career in the trades one slideshow at a time.
